The much anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final movie in the Harry Potter series has arrived on the web with two trailers giving the fans a lot to think about. The seventh and last story of Harry Potter will be told in two parts, Part 1 arriving in theaters November 19 2010, and Part II July 15, 2011. It’s a clever decision to split the story in two parts, because there is a lot to say, and the sixth Harry Potter movie proved that the story is too complex just for one full length movie.

For those who have enjoyed the series just as a cinematographic experience, the Deathly Hallows seems more promising than the previous part, anticipating a lot of serious and scary experiences of the hero in its final confrontation with Lord Voldemort. While children may find it a bit scary, others will certainly enjoy an adult Harry, who accompanied by a dramatic music struggles to find the other Horcruxes and defeat a noseless Lord Voldemort.

Of course, those reading and enjoying the whole Harry Potter series and watching in parallel the movies are raising sceptically their eyebrows at the new film. Will it be just like the last one: a poor adaptation of the book and nothing more? Or just a continuation to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince? Having read the books, I can say that this part seems quite promising. Also, the experience will be as interesting as it can be viewed in 3D also.

The first trailer reveals a frightening scene between Harry and Voldemort, in which the Dark Lord takes Harry’s face and asks “Why do you live”, at which Harry answers bravely “Because I have something worth living for”. The final words of the trailer leave a great question in the air: who will win?, as Voldemort exclaims “Only I can live forever”.

The trailer for Part 1 debutes with a sinister feeling: “These are dark times, there is no denying”, a feeling maintained while various shots of an infilstrated Ministry, attacks of Death Eathers and Harry, Ron and Hermione in tense moments are being shown. It gives you the goosebumps.

Will the Deathly Hallows be a good adaptation of the book? Or it will be just an amazing movie?
