The hysteria of the royal wedding has reached its climax this morning, when Kate Middleton stepped out of a carriage and waved to the people in a stunning ivory and lace dress, with 2 meters 70 centimeters train, designed – surprisingly by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen fashion house.

It seems like Miss Kate chose Alexander McQueen fashion house for its traditional view, which she combined with her personal modern view in a gown that makes her look like a princess from every point of view.

I like the simplicity, and the distinctive cut of the dress, which makes her resemble Princess Grace a little bit. And although the design of the dress is clean and simple, the process by which it was made simple is really complex: a lot of details were handmade, and I couldn’t help observing the wide range of fabrics used and their interesting combination.

The fabrics include ivory and white satin, gazar and organza, silk tulle and of course, a lot of embroidered flowers and applique Cluny lace and hand-made lace by Royal School of Needlework.

Her perfect look was completed by a wonderful veil, made of ivory silk tulle with hand embroidered flowers, and of course, to complete the princess look, a tiara given to her by The Queen herself.
