Lady Gaga performed bald on the Paul O’Grady Show. And then she put a wig on. All this while playing the piano. Planet Earth has imploded with talent.

Is it just me or people seem to be too bedazzled by the fact that a person making millions of dollars in the music industry can actually play a piano? Does that suddenly make her worthy of all her success, in spite of other thousands of talented artists? Artists that just never took the approach of shocking the audience by appearance first, and then make them listen to the music?

And here are some unequivocally meaningful lyrics from the above mentioned song (don’t choke on their subtlety):

I’ve had enough, enough, enough,
And this is my prayer, I swear,
I’m as free as my hair.
I’m as free as my hair.
I am my hair.
I am my hair.

As free as my hair, hair, hair,
Hair, hair, ha-ha-ha-hair,
Hair, hair, hair,
Hair, hair, ha-ha-ha-hair.
As free as my hair, hair, hair,
Hair, hair, ha-ha-ha-hair
Hair, hair, hair,
Hair, hair, ha-ha-ha-hair.

But put some flames around the piano, sing of teenage issues that went on somewhere in the past but you stood up to them, choose an odd-colored wig and a matching outfit, all added up to a cliché progression of chords and clueless listeners will adhere.

Looking up the names of the songs on her last album, I can’t help but wish for the next single to be a specific song. And it’s not in any way based on musical preferences that I might have among Gaga songs. It’s just that it’s a song that wouldn’t even need a lot of make-up work, because it’s called Scheiße. That being the German word for shit.

Oh, and btw, the bald woman thing’s been done multiple times. And I’ll just give one example that scheißes on all of Lady Gaga’s discography:
