Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert II of Monaco got married in a two day luxurious wedding, including a civil ceremony on Friday, the religious ceremony on Saturday and a 450 guest glamorous dinner and ball. Both royalties and A-list celebrities such as actors, models and designers attended the event, showing off their most inspired outfits. Let’s see who were the most fashionable guests at the Monaco Royal Wedding:

Before analyzing the outfits of the guests, Princess Charlene was of course, the most chic and elegant. She went for a blue Chanel jumpsuit, pleated pants and matching jacket for the civil ceremony on Friday, then showed in an Armani Prive silk wedding gown on Saturday at the religious ceremony, and finally wore another Armani sleeveless tiered white gown for the evening gala. The Princess looked elegant and natural, resembling some of that natural elegance of Grace Kelly.

Naomi Campbell wore an Alexander McQueen floral dress matched with a fascinator at the religious ceremony, but later broke the rules and went for a white Givenchy gown at the gala.

Other highlights from the fashion model world feature Czech model Karolina Kurkova in a navy outfit with an embellished train from Channel 2009 Fall Collection. Swedish actress and model Victoria Silvstedt looked stylish and elegant in a simple beige dress.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was brightly colored in a green dress and fascinator at the religious ceremony, and later changed outfits for a pink gown and tiara at the evening gala.

Highlights from stylish royalties include Princess Mette-Marit of Norway who opted for a pale pink dress, with floral accessories in her hair and a turquoise clutch and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, who matched her aqua dress with blue pumps and clutch.

Sophie Countess of Wessex, and Princess Maxima of Netherlands went for beautiful and warm colours. Princess Maxima opted for a big hat although the flower detail on her shoulder was already an eye-catcher. The Countess’ dress had a simple design in light brown, but the glamorous feathery hat was the piece de resistance of this outfit.

Princess Caroline of Hanover’s daughter, Charlotte Casiraghi looked gorgeous in a Chanel Spring 2011 Couture satin dress. The YSL sandals and black veil make her look like a little diva

As another famous royal wedding took place recently, I cannot help comparing them, at least from the fashion point of view. Was the British Royal Wedding a more fashionable one? Will Princess Charlene become a fashion icon just like the Duchess of Cambridge?
