The last day of the Canadian Tour found the couple in Calgary, Alberta, where the Duchess of Cambridge finally went for a more colourful outfit, maybe the brightest of them all from the whole tour.

Kate wore a knee-length “Primrose dress” by Jenny Packham, from silk crepe, with puffed sleeves, buttons, a gathered waist and a full skirt. This is not the first time the Duchess wears the designer’s clothes, last month she wore a lovely floor length pink dress at the Ark Gala. As for the accessories, both the shoes and the clutch were LK Bennett: the nude Sledge2 pumps and the Natalie Clutch seen before on tour.

The windy conditions almost caused a wardrobe malfunction, but Kate was careful enough to hold her dress in the right place.

The couple were presented with white cowboy hats on their arrival in Calgary, which they wore later at the Calgary Stampede, where they went a little western. They arrived in style, on a old-fashioned horse drawn stagecoach and had the honour of launching the famous race.

For the occasion Kate wore an white shirt with patterns from Alice by Temperley. She also put on a new pair of jeans, which are unknown at the time, cowboy-style boots and an over sized belt.

Compared to Kate Middleton’s outfit from Day 7, I’d say Thursday’s choice was far more inspired. Now that the Canadian tour is over, and you have seen all of the Duchess’ outfits, which one would you say is your favourite?

Next stop of the Royal Tour is LA. Do you think the Duchess will go more glamorous this time?
