‘Rolling in the Deep’, Adele’s famous single from her second album, ’21’, was released in 2010 and was very well received by music critics and fans all around the world. It has reached number one in eleven countries, top five in several other countries and, as of June 2011, has sold over 4 million digital copies in the United States.

This being said, no wonder a lot of musicians decided to perform the song in their unique way, releasing their own versions on YouTube or singing it in live concerts. Below you have 13 great covers I really enjoyed listening to. Hope you will too. I didn’t include the Glee version, performed by Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff, because I’m not a fan of the show, but if you’re curious you can find it here.

Linkin Park

Linkin Park performed a cover of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” live at the 2011 iTunes Festival back in July. This one is, by far, my favorite cover.

John Legend

The famous musician released an R&B Acapella version of the song in April 2011.

Mike Posner

A techno version of the single was recorded by American musician Mike Posner, and released on YouTube back in February.

One Republic

One Republic performed ‘Rolling in the Deep’ during a concert in Wien, back in April.

Travis Ratledge

Travis, known on YouTube for his covers of popular songs, recorded a garage rock version of the song and even made a black and white video, which he uploaded on YouTube in June.

David Choi

Choi, a Korean American musician and YouTube video producer, covered the song in March.

Maddi Jane

Another one of my favorite ‘Rolling in the Deep’ covers. This girl is only 13 years old and her voice is simply amazing. Maddi Jane became a YouTube sensation through her great covers, the most popular being ‘Price Tag‘, by Jesse J.

Tiffany Alvord and Jake Coco

This version has over 1,100,000 views. Tiffany Alvord is 17 and pretty popular among YouTube enthusiasts. Her ‘Rolling in the Deep’ cover was uploaded in March.

Kina Grannis

Kina also covered the single in March, uploading a video of her, her guitar and some kitchen accessories on her YouTube account.

Mike Tompkins

Ok, so this version is pretty amazing. Mike Tompkins is clearly a sensation, and all the sounds are made only by his voice and mouth.

Nicole Scherzinger

Back in May, the beautiful Nicole Scherzinger covered ‘Rolling in the Deep’ at a Hugo Boss party in Monte Carlo. Although it’s hard to compete with Adele, I think this time Nicole did pretty good.

Ariana Grande

The young actress, which is a big Adele fan, uploaded a video of the singing ‘Rolling in the Deep’ on her YouTube channel.

Alarm9

Finally, a group version, and a pretty good one. Also a little funny, don’t you think?

So, which one is your favorite? Do you think any of the songs above can compete with the original? Hit the comments and let us know!
