Curtis Killorn is one of the people that just got tired of seeing lifeless trees. So he thought of a way to make them more life-like. I’m not talking about treant or ent kind of bringing them to life but about a more colorful way of bestowing them with it.

Yellow, orange and green aren’t the exact color that blend in in a semi-desert. And somehow blue is unnatural for a tree, regardless of its surrounding vegetation. But that’s the charm of things; such a tree strikes the eye from a distance, unlike all trees that pluck out your eyes with their branches. So if you’re looking to create a non-conformist tree, whose leaves are uninspiringly absent, take out the brushes and paint and bring some color to their bark.

Maybe eco-friendly people will argue against it because dead trees can be frantic with life… well, with other animals’ life. Insects, small birds and mammals might seek shelter in one. So if you are seriously considering going through with the colorful project, check whether it has lodgers or not and spare their lives.
