What would you do with a plastic bag ? The answer would probably be to use it at shopping or to store something in it. After a while they multiply so much that eventually you will abandon them in a corner or throw them to the trash.

A group of anonymous artists called Luzinterruptus in collaboration with Gewerbemuseum of Winthertur in Switzerland used the bags in a whole different way as part of the Oh, Plastiksack!, monographic exhibition on plastic bags. For the last three months, the bags, filled with lights, have guarded the museum enchanting the viewers with a spectacular image. A lot of people contributed and exchanged one for a free ticket at the museum. The display is meant to show the reality of plastic objects. After the first days of exhibition the bags had started to deteriorate, showing that if not used correctly or recycled they can damage the environment. On the inauguration day the viewers could enjoy a kaleidoscope of colors or use them as balloons that filled the moonlit sky, in a square near the museum.

The team of Luzinterruptus is specialized in carrying such urban installations. They use lights and their creative sense to emphasize problems that occur on every city’s streets, or they simply try to attract people’s attention on details by illuminating unknown places or urban pieces of furniture they find special.

So many times we pass by amazing things without noticing them, when in fact the little details of everyday life are the most spectacular! Below you can see more colorful photos from the exhibition.
