The Onion is probably the best known satirical news website at the moment and it’s pretty much the most serious-looking and organized website about nothing there is. But their news might lose their charm after a short while since, although well crafted and presented, the mechanism of jokes gets to be rather predictable. So you no longer feel like having them in your news feed.

One thing, though, managed to regain my interest. It’s all about that particular moment when a person discovers The Onion and they take it seriously.

These photos were taken from literallyunvelievable.org, a site entirely dedicated to reactions people have on reading The Onion articles. While some of the reactions are natural for a person not aware of the existence of satirical news sites, others just prove how gullible people have grown to be with not so trustworthy media in general. And since it gives us that perspective, maybe that’s the great purpose of this site anyway.
