Tiny streets carved from rock, houses squeezed between boulders and amazing sights – Monsanto, a village build among enormous rocks, looks simply beautiful.

Monsanto is near Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain range in Continental Portugal. Besides unique sights, the village also houses the ruins of a castle and the ruins of a Romanesque chapel, adding to the hauntingly beautiful atmosphere.

I would definitely enjoy a vacation there. Would you?
