‘Advanced Style’ Proves That Age Is Nothing But a State of Mind
Blogger Ari Seth Cohen with actor and model Mimi Weddell
Ari Seth Cohen wants to demonstrate that style only advances with age. He strolls the streets of New York in search of stunning women with a powerful sense of personal style. Women who age beautifully, who know how to accessorize, who aren’t afraid to wear outfits, often eccentric, that some might find ‘inappropriate’ for their age.
He is the founder of ‘Advanced Style‘, a street style blog focused on the over-60 set. Ari Seth Cohen started his blog inspired by his own grandmother’s unique personal style and his lifelong interest in the fashion of vibrant seniors. Each of his photos captures a glimpse of the subject’s vibrant personality. Most of the ladies who appear on his blog are glamorously enjoying their later years, with grace, confidence and a lot of fashion sense.
After three years of blogging, Cohen is ready to release a book, also called ‘Advanced Style’. It will be out on in April and is now available for pre-order from Amazon. What should we expect? Here’s an excerpt from the Amazon page:
Each of his subjects sparkles like a diamond after long years spent refining and perfecting their individual look and approach to life. The Advanced Style book will showcase, in luscious full-color, the best of the blog, but will also act as a true guidebook with all-new material featuring wardrobes, interviews, stories, and advice from a cadre of his most chic subjects, along with a large selection of never-before-seen photography—fresh off of sidewalk catwalks around the world!
After browsing his blog I personally felt inspired. Those ladies may have gray hair and wrinkles, but they also have a lot of style. Don’t you agree?
