amazingly, you missed perhaps the best astronaut-themed cover of them all: bukka white`s “memphis hot shots” on blue horizon (1969). one could argue the case for beggar`s opera, as the combination of a warhorse with an astronaut-suit-clad rider is admittedly stunning; but bukka white would at least come in a close second, as the irony of a “negro” (white is a bluesman) in a space suit would not have escaped record buyers in that year of the moon landing. judge for yourselves: https://www.discogs.com/Bukka-White-Memphis-Hot-Shots/release/3681557 (click on image)
